Extended Deadline!
Curtis Leister, a native of Philadelphia, is a Master Naturalist and avid proponent of conservation. Currently, he volunteers for the Illinois Watershed River Partnership, and the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks. He is passionate about nature and wishes to teach the younger generation as much as he can about the beautiful world we live in. Mr. Leister visited with our students last week.
We are soooo close to our new green bench! We need 750 more plastics. Ask your family and friends to donate. Cleaner bottles, over-the-counter medicine pills, yogurt drink containers, WHITE milk contains, cleaning wipe bottles, and detergents are always good to check.
We are almost there!!! The deadline has been extended to next week. If every student brought 2 plastics, we would be finished.

Help us out!! We are in the final days and need more plastics for the Green Bench Challenge. We have 750 pieces of plastic and we need 1250 more. Send any #2 plastic to Young Elementary (cleaning bottles, detergents, shampoos, allergy medicine containers). No clear plastics are accepted.
Pippin Apple Field Day is May 23rd! This is a fun day sponsored by the PTA. All grades participate for free. If you are interested in purchasing a shirt, purchases must be made this week at the PTA store or the paper order form that will come home on Monday. Orders will close on Friday, April 26th. Youth Shirts and adult shirts are $10. Shirt sizes 2XL and above are $13.
